The in-house technology incubator of 8228. We build companies that ride the macro and micro shifts in technology — shipping early, iterating fast and backed by permanent capital. Our first live venture, Growbox, is an AI marketing workspace for agencies and brands, with more projects in stealth.

Executive Admin
Hadlie studied at Snow College, where she competed as a student athlete on the women’s soccer team. She brings that same discipline and team-first mindset to 8228, which she joined as Executive Admin after returning home — keeping the office organized and supporting the founders and team day to day.
VP of Operations
An operator-first investor, Mark rose from frontline operations and sales into senior leadership, turning loss-making businesses into profitable, growing ones. He spent nearly a decade helping lead a national financial services franchise network of 230+ locations and roughly 300,000 clients. At 8228 he works across investments and portfolio companies — evaluation, M&A, capital raising, value creation and new ventures — and leads the office’s expansion into Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific. Master’s in Marketing and MBA, Australian Institute of Business.
Chief Financial Officer
Daniel leads fund operations, financial reporting, compliance and investor relations. As Controller at ColoHouse/Hivelocity he consolidated 11 entities and prepared the business for a $150M capital raise; at Lume Technologies he restated three years of financials to GAAP ahead of its Series A and acquisition. MBA and B.S. in Accounting, Utah Valley University; Certified Management Accountant.
Executive Admin
Sydnee supports 8228’s founders and team as Executive Admin, keeping the office’s day-to-day operations, scheduling and communications running smoothly. She brings prior experience at Victor Charlie Partners and ALPA. Sydnee holds a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and is based in Draper, Utah.
Founder & CIO
Davis began as an active angel investor in Utah startups before co-founding Auxano Funding, one of Utah’s first revenue-based finance firms, and UA2, a next-generation Utah Angels group. In 2015 he and his brother founded Lumen Group, Utah’s first SEC-regulated direct secondary fund. As Chairman of SilencerCo he led a turnaround — a restructuring and two funding rounds — that culminated in its 2024 acquisition. He founded Prelude, now Victor Charlie Partners, and is Managing Director at Tintic Capital, raising its third direct secondary fund. Board member at FreightPOP, Imagine.io and Device Authority. MBA, Westminster College.
Founder & CEO
An engineer turned investor, Jensen began at National Instruments building test, measurement and industrial automation systems. He co-founded Auxano Funding and UA2, then founded Lumen Group with his brother, leading the raise and deployment of two SEC-registered direct secondary funds. He is Managing Director at Tintic Capital, raising its third fund, and also serves as COO of Mercato Partners, a growth-stage investment firm in Salt Lake City. B.S.
